Each year, thousands of birds leave their home and search for food, warmth, or mates. Some fly 11 days nonstop, others criss-cross the world traveling 8,000 miles. The journey is always perilous, but to stay is to perish. They must go. They must dare to journey.
All of this happens instinctively.
The birds simply respond to deep longings embedded within them. In other words, they’re designed to journey.
And so are we.
There is something within us that naturally directs us toward our source. We are forever called to search, journey, to travel toward him who eternally draws us.
For God is an eternal discovery.
The deeper we go, the deeper He gets. The more we know, the more He reveals. From every new summit we attain, fresh fields of vision will open before us, divine horizons more dazzling and inviting than the one before.
The Threefold way is a journey into the endless depths of God. But we must dare to journey — we must say “Yes” to our human destiny.
We must start.
