Agreed, this is powerfully true. Wherever you go, there you are.

Thanks again Jon!

Tbh…. I’m still learning…. But I’m beginning to realize that gradually gradually it sinks in a little deeper with each go at it…. Though often 2 steps forward and 1 back.

Yes, two steps forward and one back. I sense that too.

here's an interesting thought though that I read last week: " the past still lives and speaks to the present- we are building an invisible temple, all those past days are bricks in the temple. Those events do make us what we are today.... watch today very jealously. it will rise again to bless or curse you.... but... the perfect Christ will help us finish our perfect temple." Laubach (Learning the vocabulary of God)

I thought: "that's true, but I also think it's a reconstruction job...we can take out the old bricks that spoil or weaken the building, the past does not have to despoil the future. it can be reconstructed... this is putting to death the old and putting on the new, yes? vanquishing the temptations of the past lest they rise up to curse us...

I really enjoy Frank Laubach. His Letters to a Modern Mystic is rich. Yes, I think so much of what we experience on our transformational journey is reconstruction, as you say. Thanks for sharing!
